Silky Scarf Fall Look Book
I feel like anyone who follows me on the Gram knows that my obsession for scarves this fall is real. Just about every day I pilfer through my little collection and see if I could muster up an outfit based around a particular scarf. I know, crazy.
I thought a fun fall post would be a little look book of my favorite ways to style silky scarves as of late! I was absolutely inspired by this trend after a local boutique called Indie posted some of their new arrivals a few weeks ago and had some fun silky scarves- for $8.00 a piece! L O V E!
My love for scarves started out with those classic red bandanas. I had a slight obsession with becoming a pin-up model (low key still do??) and would wear my hair up with a red bandana almost every day my junior year of high school. I love how its a practical way to wear your hair, but a fun “Look I Tried Today” way to accessorize (even if you didn’t try today.) I just love the carefree + vintage vibes that this look gives and I am obsessed with pairing this blush and navy scarf from Indie with this gray oversized turtleneck from Forever 21. Cozy sweater textures + soft silky textures = Best Thing Ever
Speaking of vintage vibes, I get some kind of nautical 70’s feel with this striped crop top and mustard and navy scarf! I love tying it “flight attendant style” the most! Navy + Mustard are such a darling combination! This is another Indie scarf, so I’m sure you’re catching on to how crazy about them I am. This mustard scarf is proooobs my favorite of the 3 I bought from them! I paired this top with my jeans but I know it would look so adorable with a skirt + opaque tights. I also think it would be so cute carried over to spring or summer with some high waisted denim shorts!
Another way I love to wear these scarves is by doing a simple knot on the front and instead of turning it to the side like I did in the outfit above, I keep the knot facing the front! I have two outfits below, one with a longer scarf paired with one of my favorite olive sweaters, and then a short scarf with a rusty boxy button-up top! Both tops and the earrings are from Forever 21!
This last look also involves one of my favorite summer to fall transition pieces! I got this vented suede top from Card + Cloth early this summer and have loved it! I paired it with a navy + rust + cream scarf (also from Indie) and my suede heels from Charlotte Russe (an end of season steal last year- 40% off!) I am so excited to layer this top with dusters and cardigans for winter! I styled this scarf a little thicker than the others by folding it in half and tying it in the back. I love this style of folding for higher necklines or when I have my hair up!
What do you think about the latest scarf trend? Which one of these looks is your favorite?
I want to hear from you!
